Actually, I didn’t explicitly want to become a mathematician in the first place. It just happened out of a desire to learn new things!

I loved maths in school, and especially after reading a book by Simon Singh which talked about maths in the TV show the Simpsons, I thought it was so cool that we could use maths in so many places!

Basically, because I loved maths at school.

I even spent one month in a high school dedicated to biology and chemistry (which I started because I thought I would like to become a doctor), but then I missed maths very much so I changed.
